An indie visual novel game on Steam that's almost entirely AI-generated somehow has a ridiculous $100 asking price, but hey, at least it's on sale for only $50 right now.
As anyone who has scrolled through social media for even a second can tell you, AI-generated content is absolutely everywhere nowadays. Over the past year or so, it's even become depressingly commonplace in video games, whether developers and publishers opt to tell you about it or not.
It looks like AI-generated content in gaming isn't going to slow down anytime soon, and that's sadly very apparent if you look at some of the games that are released daily on Steam, which, at the very least, makes developers disclose their use. Those games usually have the sense to be incredibly cheap, but that's not the case for an indie visual novel that's gone somewhat viral.
Over on Twitter, IvyHoneyFig pointed out what has to be one of the most baffling games on Steam right now. Blood in the Ice is a visual novel that, when it's not on a sale that drops its price down to a still-high $59.99, has a whopping $100 entry fee. That's egregious enough...
