Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 may have just been revealed, with an October release date. But all Call of Duty fans can think of are Black Ops 1 and Black Ops 2, two of the most revered COD titles in history.

That's because the two titles have received ratings in South Korea, leading some to believe that remasters or re-releases of some sort could be imminent.

As first shared in Reddit's r/GamingLeaksAndRumours sub, South Korean rating agency, Game Rating and Administration Committee, their equivalent to the ESRB or PEGI, has new ratings for Black Ops 1 and Black Ops 2.

Both Black Ops titles are listed with a May 21, 2026, receipt date, or roughly 10 days ago, from the time of writing. They were deliberated on May 29, or two days ago. Now, the results are publicly available.

Following that reveal, one user pointed out that during a recent Steam sale for older Call of Duty tiles, the Black Ops games were oddly missing from the available discounts.

For reference, Black Ops is $39.99 and Black Ops 2 is $59.99 on Steam, respectively.

It seems Activision learned their lesson from how Black Ops 7 was received.
