Capcom President and COO Haruhiro Tsujimoto stated that the company's recent success is due to a swap from an individual-led mindset in game development to a team-focused culture. Tsujimoto has served as President and COO of Capcom since 2007, sharing leadership duties with his father, Capcom CEO and founder Kenzo Tsujimoto.
Tsujimoto's statements came just as Capcom celebrated its 43rd anniversary. Although Capcom has occasionally stumbled, the Osaka-based studio has since gone on a hot streak with consistent game releases. During the first half of 2026, Capcom released Resident Evil Requiem, Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection, and Pragmata on all current-gen platforms. As of April, Resident Evil Requiem had sold over seven million copies worldwide within its first two months of retail availability.
