Marsupilami 2: Salsa Palombia is a new platformer that mixes 2D movement and 3D visual elements to create a vibrant experience.
Visually the game looks outstanding. It is chock full of color and the standard biomes you would find in most platformers. The cartoon aesthetic reminds me of classic Saturday morning cartoons and the animations are fantastic.
Marsupilami 2 – Salsa Palombia lives up to its vibe and its name. Salsa mode is an absolute banger, and the platforming and worlds are nothing short of entertaining.
Marsupilami 2: Salsa Palombia is a very good platformer where it matters. Movement is diverse and responsive, level design is nearly flawless, and visually it’s a competent and serviceable treat for the eyes. Yes, there are some things holding it back, but in general, it’s a very solid 2.5D platformer that wrings everything out of its premise till the player is left with an almost perfectly ripened fruit.
The jump in difficulty for the area bosses is a bit of a bummer, as are the forced collectathon elements, but the co-op and solo gameplay experiences are pretty solid. After having been away from the platformer genre for a little while, Marsupilami 2 certainly rekindled that passion in me, and I'm eager to show more of the game to my kids and even pick up the first game if I see it on sale. The Marsupilamis may look like skinny Chester Cheetahs with longer tails, but I'm glad I had a chance to jump and swing along to their world's salsa beats and be reminded of all the great mascot platformers that have come before and now inspire a new generation of game makers.

If you enjoy 2D platformers even a little bit then you need to play Marsupilami 2 - Salsa Palombia as it's simply one of the best examples of the genre ever made. The amount of cuteness, rewarding challenges, and a whole clever multiplayer component make it a definite must-play. 🥭
