Zelda: Ocarina Of Time Remake Official Gameplay Leaves Fans Split

Fans aren't sure what to expect from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake. Revealed in a beautiful, yet brief, trailer during a Nintendo Direct last week, the Ocarina of Time remake has been confirmed to exist - but that's about all we know at this very early stage.

As these things so often go, all those gaps in our knowledge have allowed fan imaginations to run wild. Prospective players are already dissecting what the gameplay of the remake might look like: should it be closer to the original game, or more distinct? Earlier this week, Nintendo Life took the time to speculate on a Nintendo webpage's description of the remake, which specifically references its "timeless gameplay."

Reddit user Joventer567 quoted the Nintendo Life article in a post, speculating that "Ocarina of Time 2026 is looking like it will be a 1:1 remake." In other words, it won't make major changes to the gameplay or story like, say, the Final Fantasy 7 Remake trilogy, instead attempting to recreate the official N64 experience as faithfully as possible on modern platforms.
