Pokémon Scarlet and Violet didn't get off to the best start, and, sadly, despite featuring some rather excellent moments, it never did quite manage to substantially improve its technical state, even with a Switch 2 upgrade. Nevertheless, it's hard to deny that Pokémon Scarlet and Violet didn't, at times, sparkle as bright as some of Pokémon's best, and absolutely had and continue to have a loyal following of fans who will tune in for every major event.

Sadly, it would seem that, after nearly four years, the end of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet may very well be upon us. This isn't merely the game concluding a beloved feature or removing a temporary Tera Raid battle. Like the many Pokémon games that died before it, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet could truly be over very soon. Fortunately, it would appear that, in its final moments, this divisive and at times brilliant game is going out with a bang.
