Pokémon is celebrating its very exciting 30th anniversary as a franchise this year, with plenty of new releases and announcements to mark the occasion and keep their millions of fans happy. The headline act was obviously confirmation of the first game of the tenth generation, with Winds and Waves set to launch in 2027, on an as yet unconfirmed date.
We don't know a whole lot about what that game is going to look like just yet, beyond the beautiful archipelago vistas and the admittedly cute starter 'mons. While we wait for more on that, there's plenty more exciting stuff going on around the franchise, including a HeartGold and SoulSilver release that should appeal to those who grew up playing it.
Over on the official Pokemon Center website, you should be able to find the product listing for the latest set of package pins, which are modeled on the iconic designs of the Japanese versions of HeartGold and SoulSilver. Coming as a pair, they really are a very sweet reference to an important part of gaming history.
