We'll Get Our First Look At The New Witcher 3 DLC At Gamescom

We already know that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is getting one last DLC to say goodbye to Geralt of Rivia. Songs of the Past was announced back in May, following months of speculation that the now ten-year-old RPG was getting a big update.

However, this reveal was little more than a brief synopsis and some new art of Geralt. Turns out, CD Projekt Red was always planning a big fancy reveal later in the year, and now, we know exactly when that will be: August 25.

"CD Projekt Red is delighted to announce its presence at gamescom 2026, with new information on The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Songs of the Past being revealed during Gamescom Opening Night Live," reads an announcement from the studio. "CD Projekt Red will also showcase The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Songs of the Past on the Gamescom show floor."

That means that fans will be able to see a preview of Songs of the Past on the show floor, although it won't be a hands-on demo. Instead, attendees will get a "guided presentation". The same goes for the build that the press will be shown, so we'll have to wait...
