A remake of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic was announced way back in 2021, but since then, we’ve seen nothing from it. In fact, whatever version of the game was in development back then has been scrapped, as the project traded hands from Aspyr to Saber.
That was some time ago, and still, we’ve seen nothing. Embracer and even Disney itself have dodged questions about it, and there's been no proof of life in years. However, there’s a good chance that will change very soon.
YouTuber 100% Star Wars says that he’s heard from his sources that the KOTOR Remake is getting re-revealed this year.
“As I've mentioned before, development on the game has not only been ramping up, but it's been going extremely smoothly over the past three years since Saber started from scratch,” says 100% Star Wars.
He goes on to say that he is aware of a “reveal being planned for this year”.
“As of right this second, it is still planned to be revealed sometime this year,” he says. “Which likely means that 2027 is going to be the year where the marketing for the KOTOR remake really kicks off in some capacity.”...
