Reviews for Halo: Campaign Evolved have been published ahead of the game's release on July 28, and the sentiment is broadly positive, albeit the numbers aren't as high as we've traditionally seen for Halo.
It's been a fallow period for fans of Halo, either 5 years or 15, depending on who you ask. The cultural capital of the series has steadily declined since Bungie released Halo: Reach in 2010, and now, their successor, Halo Studios, is looking to the past to try and recapture some of that magic.
On OpenCritic, Halo: Campaign Evolved opened to an average critic score of 84. On Metacritic, the game has a Metascore of 82.
