Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls’ open beta just kicked off, but PC players are reporting “inexcusable” performance issues and stuttering, even on powerful rigs.
As Dragon Ball FighterZ proved long ago, a stylish new fighter from Arc System Works that features original takes on beloved heroes should be an absolute slam dunk. For the most part, that’s also true of Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls, but it’d be fair to say that the game has come with a surprising amount of issues and shortcomings.
From combat systems that weren’t landing with players and had to be significantly tweaked since the first playtest to the mandatory PlayStation Network requirements that have locked out a bunch of countries, Tokon has seen its fair share of controversy. That’s not stopped with the open beta, which is being labelled “all over the place”.
Today, July 24, marks the start of the Marvel Tokon’s open beta for both PS5 and PC, which is very likely the last playtest the game will receive until its release next month.
