Despite being wildly expensive for annual releases, EA Sports FC 27 and NBA 2K27’s $150 ultimate editions are already topping pre-order charts.
As anyone desperately hunting for RAM knows, gaming has turned into a very expensive hobby over the past two years. The rising cost of game development, technology, and hardware components has hit our industry especially hard, resulting in consumers having to pay extra for controllers, consoles, subscriptions, and oh so much more.
It wasn’t that long ago when we were all furious at Nintendo for introducing $80 games with the Switch 2, but that’s sadly become the norm for triple-A releases. EA and Take-Two clearly thought we weren’t shelling out enough, as they recently announced $150 editions for EA Sports FC and NBA 2K27 that sadly seem to be doing very well.
Earlier this week, NBA 2K27 and EA Sports FC 2027’s reveals came with the nasty surprise that both had premium editions that cost a whopping $150.
