Spider-Man 2’s free Brand New Day suit clearly isn’t the present Insomniac was hoping it’d be, as fans are once again worked up about colour grading.
With Spider-Man: Brand New Day finally hitting theatres today and Spidey starring in Marvel Tokon next month, it’s a very good time to be a fan of the wallcrawler. Insomniac (or more likely, Sony) decided to get in on all of the excitement by adding the Brand New Day and Marvel Tokon suits to Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 in a free update.
What should have been the perfect way to celebrate a big year for Spider-Man hasn’t exactly gone to plan, though. Although the Tokon suit seems to be faring fine, Spidey fans really aren’t happy with how the Brand New Day suit has turned out, and it’s all thanks to a problem that long-term Marvel’s Spider-Man fans will be very familiar with.
All the way back when the first Marvel’s Spider-Man was announced, Spidey fans were quick to point out that Insomniac’s original take on the webhead’s duds, the Advanced Suit, strangely looked orange and blue instead of red and blue thanks to the game’s colour grading....
