Final Fantasy 7 Remake director Naoki Hamaguchi doesn’t want players to entirely focus on Revelation’s ending, as it may be “fully faithful” or “something completely different”.

Now that Final Fantasy 7 Remake’s third and final entry, Revelation, has finally been announced for early next year, we know that the end of a remake project that’s been more than a decade in the making is finally on the horizon. While the stakes aren’t quite as high as with Rebirth, considering it had that moment to adapt, everyone’s still wondering what’s in store.

Will Revelation continue Remake and Rebirth’s path of changing the original game’s events and give us something completely new, or will it stick more closely to the script and wrap up Cloud’s story as we originally knew it? As tough as it is, Revelation’s director wants you to stop focusing on how everything’s going to wrap up.

As pointed out by Twitter user Genki_JPN, Automaton recently had the chance to chat with Final Fantasy 7 Remake trilogy director Naoki Hamaguchi about the upcoming third and final entry.
