LEGO and Pokemon enthusiasts can now purchase 17 collectible sets, including a dozen Smart Play compatible kits, via the Pokemon Center and at LEGO stores nationwide. The new LEGO Pokemon sets came as the popular monster-catching franchise celebrated its 30th anniversary.
Although Pokemon and LEGO are recognizable brands, the two companies had never collaborated before until recently. As part of the Pokemon franchise's 30th anniversary, The Pokemon Company and LEGO announced a multi-year partnership starting in 2026 that would bring LEGO Pokemon products to fans across the globe. Some of the first LEGO Pokemon sets that were initially unveiled featured critters such as Pikachu, Eevee, and the fully-evolved forms of the Kanto starter trio. During the 2026 Consumer Electronics Show, LEGO unveiled the 2x4 Smart Brick that can be used with sets labeled as "Smart Play compatible," including select LEGO Pokemon sets.
A well-known LEGO leaker shares a revealing list of 19 sets that the Danish toymaker reportedly plans to release throughout 2027.
