Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave isn't far off now. Launching on September 17, we're just a little over a month away from the latest entry in the ultra-popular tactical role-playing series, and now, we have a better idea of what to expect.

Here is everything we learned from the August 4 Nintendo Direct for Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave.

Judging from the chat, there's a lot of support for Leda and Cai so far. Which makes sense - they seem to be "the good guys", or at least the easiest to root for.

If you've played a Fire Emblem game before, you'll know what you're doing. Although I am losing my mind over how a character straight up pulled out a gun on an enemy - that's new, right?

Other than that, axes are high-risk, high-reward, while swords are the all-rounders, and so on.

Forget permadeath - you can straight up rewind time to save your units. In the Direct, we see a character die, only for the player to go back to a previous round. We're told that we can go back to any previous point in battle, to rethink our strategy.
