Last Friday, we got another look at The Blood of Dawnwalker's gameplay. This showed the game running on PS5 Pro, PS5, and Xbox Series X. It also revealed what graphical settings will be at our disposal, and more specifically, the limitations console players will be under.
Controversially, it was revealed that The Blood of Dawnwalker would launch with two modes - neither of which could go higher than 40fps. That was even true for PS5 Pro, which has the same fps cap as the weaker PS5 and Xbox Series X. Now, developer Rebel Wolves has addressed the backlash and reassures fans that this cap shouldn't be in place on launch day.
On social media, Rebel Wolves announces that another setting will be added in a launch-day update.
"The Blood of Dawnwalker will receive a Performance Mode targeting 60 FPS on PS5, PS5 Pro, and Xbox Series X on Day 1 through the launch patch," the post reads.
The devs then explain how this update was already planned, but the response to the console performance reveal made it clear that this needed to be a priority.
