If you've been clinging on to hope that the rumors of a third game in the acclaimed Ori series are true, well... You might either want to cling harder or let go altogether, depending on how well you take bad news.
In a couple of Tweets posted earlier today, the director of both games and the current Moon Studios CEO Thomas Mahler clarified that these rumors were false. But not due to a lack of trying on his or his studio's end, as reported by Insider Gaming.
These rumors began, as many of these rumors tend to do, on the ResetEra forums. Word had it that a studio under the Saber Interactive umbrella was tapped to make a new game in the series. Furthermore, it was suggested that this very game could very well be announced at the upcoming Gamescom event in Germany this month. Well, when word of that got around to Mahler, he had a thing or two to say about it.
