If you're a fan of the Police Simulator series, then you're in luck. Police Simulator has been officially announced during the Future Games Show at Gamescom. Created by astragon Entertainment in partnership with GRIP Studios, Police Simulator lets you patrol the streets of a US-inspired metropolis called Faremont City. For players who have played other games in the series, you'll find that some much-requested features are finally making an appearance.

The announcement trailer shows the duality of a police officer's job, which is important for a simulator where you're looking for an experience that mimics the reality of whatever it might be simulating. While the trailer focuses on a police chase, it keeps cutting to various officers on the path who are doing the more mundane tasks like handing out parking tickets and taking a break to get a hot dog from a stand on the sidewalk.
