PlayStation can't seem to escape the game preservation debate. Its decision to ditch physical media starting in 2028 caused a stink, with former PlayStation executives and big-time video game developers among those who opposed the move.
The latest example of this comes courtesy of indie studio Ternox Games, which has just revealed, "Sony PlayStation unilaterally terminated my PlayStation developer and publisher agreement without giving me any reason." This will result in all the studio's games being removed from the platform within a week.
Stonks-9800 has been available on Steam in early access for over three years now. It has an overwhelmingly positive rating based on almost 1,400 reviews. This was enough for its developer, Ternox, to begin the process of porting the game to the Nintendo Switch, Xbox, and PlayStation. It now looks like, unless something drastically changes, that won't be happening.
"STONKS-9800 will not be coming to PS5," the Ukrainian developer posted on social media. "Sony PlayStation unilaterally terminated my PlayStation developer and publisher agreement without giving me any reason.
