While there has been plenty of excitement over the upcoming release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, there has been an equal amount of concern regarding some of the series more infamous features slipping into the next generation of the classic FPS series. Although Modern Warfare 4's developers aren't worried about competing with GTA 6 just yet, the game already has a significant head start over the competition in dealing with hackers.
With the series being infamously ripe with hackers to the point where cheats are being sold off before the full release of their newest installments go live, the creators behind Call of Duty shared an update on their project to seriously crack down on hackers, which even includes sending police to the homes of notorious cheat sellers.
In a series of now viral posts shared by the official Call of Duty X account, the latest inclusion of the RICOCHET anti-cheat has allowed the studio to not only crack down on over "375 cheat reseller operations," but also send police-escorted cease-and-desist letters to 80 hacking vendors, which included the creator behind the notorious Elocarry cheat store.
