A very reliable gaming insider has claimed that a PlayStation State of Play showcase in September is “incredibly likely” and could be happening “soon”.
The last week of gaming news has been incredibly busy thanks to Gamescom’s Opening Night Live showcase and the long-awaited reveal of Grand Theft Auto 6’s gameplay. You’d think that means we get a little bit of a break, but that isn’t looking like it’s going to be the case any time soon this year.
Not only do we have some major releases coming up in the next few weeks like The Blood of Dawnwalker, Wolverine, and Onimusha, but there are bound to be even more showcases with plenty of news. September is usually home to a State of Play, something that a reliable insider has backed up and suggested is coming soon.
Over on Twitter, NateTheHate, one of the most reliable insiders in gaming at the moment, replied to a comment asking if there’s any update on a State of Play in September. Nate confirmed that he’s still working to confirm a date, but that it’s looking “incredibly likely” and should happen “soon”.
