Cowboy Bebop Reference Reignites Excitement For Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet

Naughty Dog revealed Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet at the end of 2024 and hasn’t really mentioned it again since. That was until now, when the studio confirmed the game’s cinematic shoot has wrapped, sparking hopes that we’re going to finally see more of the game very soon.

“That is a wrap on the very ambitious Intergalactic cinematic shoot! This cast killed it! Cannot wait to show you their incredible work when the time is right,” the studio’s post reads. It’s coupled with a shot of Tati Gabrielle, who will play Intergalactic’s lead, Jordan.

The update has revived excitement for Naughty Dog’s next game, with some currently feeling a little miffed with the studio due to how long it has been since it last released a new game. ND’s last new release was The Last of Us Part 2, a sequel that launched so long ago that its arrival predates the release of the PS5.

It’s becoming more and more evident that PlayStation’s want for a The Last of Us multiplayer game, that then got canceled, is largely to blame for that.

A reminder that The Heretic Prophet will be heavily influenced by Akira and Cowboy Bebop has really helped...
