So, you reckon you've mastered the combat in Star Wars Zero Company. Perhaps you're getting into the game as an XCOM veteran, or you've already beaten the game once and want some extra challenge. In that case, you might be tempted by Zero Company's Beskar mode - an option that gives you just a single save file, preventing you from save scumming your way to victory.
However, before you commit to this, I have to warn you that the mod is probably even more punishinhg than you're expecting. Not only are you restricted to a single save file, making any permadeaths actually permanent, but that one save file will automatically be deleted if you get a game over - for any reason. Yes, even if your Hawks is still alive.
After reviewing the game, I tried out Beskar mode on the hardest difficulty... and got as far as the mission Eavesdropping. In fairness, my entire party was downed, so I earned that game over. However, unlike in Baldur's Gate 3's similar Honour mode, there's no option to continue with Beskar turned off; it just wipes your save.
