New previews for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 have dropped, and they confirm once and for all that the incredibly controversial transformation timers have been removed.

We’ve been waiting a very long time for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3, so it instantly became one of the most anticipated things about the whole franchise when it was finally revealed earlier this year. That hype took a very noticeable and loud knock when it was confirmed that the game would feature transformation timers.

In previous Dragon Ball games, transformations could be kept up forever with ki, but Xenoverse 3 was making them something you had to really work towards. While that approach had some upsides, most fans were vehemently against it and begged Dimps to remove them from the game. Thank kami, because that’s exactly what has happened.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 had an updated demo for press at Gamescom and, as reported by YouTuber Globku, it confirmed that Dimps has removed transformation timers from the game entirely. Transformations are once again tied to ki, just like they were in the previous games, which means they can be kept up by charging.
