9 Years Later, Famed Capcom Director Hideki Kamiya Wants To Revive This Cancelled RPG

There have been countless canceled games and unfinished projects over the years that never saw the light of day, but it's rare for developers themselves to be caught up on these titles, even more so than fans. This couldn't be closer to the truth when it comes to ex-Capcom director Hideki Kamiya, behind Resident Evil 2, Devil May Cry, and more recently shared his desire to revisit one canceled action game in particular.

Having been canned after a lengthy 4-year development cycle and numerous promotional trailers that raised plenty of excitement over its release, this fantasy action-RPG is one game that would be excellent to see brought back from the dead, the chances of which just skyrocketed if this recent interview is anything to go by.

As noted by Eurogamer, in an interview with the Video Games Chronicle, Hideki Kamiya as the new lead of his studio Clovers, the famed director shared that while he hasn't been in any official talks with Xbox CEO Asha Sharma about 2017's Scalebound, "even now I still very strongly desire to be able to see through if it’s all possible," while adding that he is "100% serious" about wanting to work...
