Final Fantasy 7 Revelation’s eye-wateringly expensive collector’s edition has already sold out on the Square Enix store after just a few days.
This week has been yet another busy one for gaming news, and unarguably one of the highlights was the reveal of Final Fantasy 7 Revelation’s release date during the State of Play. The third and final entry in the Remake trilogy has been a long time coming, but now we know exactly when to expect it.
The confirmation of Revelation’s release date was met with Square Enix opening pre-orders for the game, including various special editions. The granddaddy of those releases was the pricey collector’s edition, which was headlined by a statue of Cloud, Sephiroth, and Zack alongside various other goodies. If you didn’t pre-order at the time, though, you’re out of luck.
Before Square Enix even revealed the Final Fantasy 7 Revelation collector’s edition, it was pretty obvious that it was going to be a hot commodity. Not only is it the last entry in an adored trilogy, but game director Naoki Hamaguchi previously seemed uncertain the game would even get a physical release, let alone a collector’s edition.
