The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time Remake Launching Just Two Weeks Before GTA 6

As expected, Nintendo finally showed us more of its Ocarina of Time remake during the Zelda 40th anniversary Direct - a lot of it. It not only confirmed that the remake will launch exclusively on Switch 2 before the end of 2026, but also that Nintendo is the only studio not afraid of GTA 6.

The Ocarina of Time remake is now confirmed to be released on November 5, 2026, just two weeks before GTA 6 arrives on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Almost no other developer has been bold enough to try and steal away some of the oxygen GTA 6 will inevitably suck out of the room when it releases on November 19. Nintendo is confident enough in the popularity of Ocarina of Time, and the quality of its remake, that it doesn't believe putting its biggest game of the year in the same release window will affect sales.
