Nintendo revealed and then opened pre-orders for a lot of stuff to celebrate The Legend of Zelda turning 40. The headliner of the collection is a 40th anniversary Zelda-themed Switch 2. The first series to get its own Switch 2, and it proved incredibly popular, selling out almost immediately. Unfortunately, it seems a lot of the limited edition consoles ended up in the hands of scalpers.
Pre-orders for the Zelda Switch 2 are currently sold out at Nintendo with no indication that they will ever be restocked. Nintendo might make more available when the console releases on October 29, or on Ocarina of Time launch day the week after, but that is far from guaranteed.
Those who missed out on the limited window they were given between pre-orders going live and the consoles selling out who desperately want one might now turn to scalpers and resellers. As always, I urge you not to do so, no matter how much you might want the new console (and it’s a good-looking console). However, I don’t think you need my dissuasion this time - all you need to do is look at how much scalpers are charging....
