Kojima Productions made the shocking announcement that PHYSINT, its upcoming stealth action game, is now an Xbox exclusive. This is despite the game being announced during a 2024 State of Play as a PlayStation exclusive. Hideo Kojima confirmed on Twitter/X that Sony had unexpectedly canceled the PHYSINT project in June, and that the studio had spent the past few months seeking a new publisher, with Xbox picking up the gauntlet.
The loss of a PHYSINT might be the latest in the long list of PlayStation's errors over the past year, but it's going to benefit Kojima Productions more than it hurts, as the game now has the chance to be available on a much bigger platform than before.
