A Fan-Made Fable 2 PC Port Has Hit A Big Milestone

The Fable series is one of the most beloved and influential in the gaming industry, and yet it is stupidly hard to find a way to play these games. Sure, they're all on Xbox Game Pass for console, but on PC, you can only play the first one. If you get lucky, you might be able to find a PC copy of Fable 3 as well, but that's it.

Fable 2 never received a PC port and remained Xbox 360 exclusive. However, some fans are trying to change that, decompiling Fable 2 so that it can run on PC as if it were an official port. We've reported on the progress of one of these attempts before, and can now say that another one has reached a big milestone: the game can make it to the title screen, and you can go through the main menu.

Coming to us courtesy of Reddit user whompay, this appears to be different from the other decompiling Fable 2 project we reported on last year. That can still be viewed on GitHub, and has been updated this year, so we may have two on the go now.
