We finally got a proper look at The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remake earlier this week - and it's proving quite divisive. Perhaps we shouldn't be surprised by Zelda artstyle discourse after all this time, but the debate is only going to be more intense when it involves changes to one of the most beloved games of all time.
We've already talked about how the overall visuals have split fans, but there's one character in particular who has gotten quite a drastic redesign, and fans aren't quite sure what to make of it. I am, of course, talking about Sheik, who has been reimagined to look much more like her real identity, Zelda, while still being a plausible disguise for the princess. However, some feel that the redesign has gone too far, making Sheik look too feminine and not at all androgynous.
The main complaint from those who aren't big on the design is that her silhouette is too feminine. In the original game, Sheik was intentionally more androgynous (arguably leaning towards masculine), and characters in-game would mistake her for a man.
