Blizzard revealed the abilities and perks of the newest Support Hero for Overwatch, the vampire called Doctrine. Doctrine's arrival in Overwatch makes him the game's 54th playable Hero in the game's history and the ninth Hero added in 2026 alone.

Doctrine's initial reveal came during the 2026 BlizzCon opening ceremony, which was held a month after Overwatch saw the arrival of D.Mon as a Stalwart Tank. Hailing from Zimbabwe's Shona tribe, Doctrine (real name Tamuka Yeukai) is chronologically 77 years old, while his vampiric abilities make him assume the physical form of a 40-year-old man in his prime. After being freed from an Icelandic prison cell by Doomfist's splinter group, Doctrine grasps hands with Doomfist and states he is glad to see his old friend again.
