Alan Wake 2's Director Has Been Working On An Unannounced Game For Almost 2 Years

Alan Wake 2 is easily Remedy Entertainment's best game to date, and that's even taking into account the excellent Control Resonant. It's an absolute masterclass in horror and pacing, which is why it's very exciting to hear that the game's director, Kyle Rowley, has seemingly been working on a new game for almost two years.

First spotted by Wccftech, if you head on over to Rowley's LinkedIn, you'll see that his most recent project at Remedy Entertainment is an "unannounced game" that he's been co-directing since January 2025, which is almost two years ago. Rowley doesn't explain what this title is or who he's co-directing with, though I would presume it's Sam Lake again, given he didn't have a directing role in Control Resonant.

Control Resonant suffers some open world fumbles, but it's an incredibly fun and artistic game, and a must play for Remedy fans.

A co-directing duo of Sam Lake and Sam Rowley is enough to get me excited though, even if it isn't the Alan Wake 3 title that I'm sure many would expect the pair to make. That being said, it's worth noting that Rowley was working as a co-director on Alan Wake 2...
