Fortnite just shared a new trailer for its upcoming Fortnitemares event. The in-game event takes place every Halloween, and this year, it will coincide with Fortnite's ongoing Override gaming season. In its new trailer, one of the most welcome surprises of the season so far was revealed out of nowhere - Hollow Knight is coming to Fortnite.
The relatively short Fortnitemares trailer largely focuses on the likes of Freddy Krueger from Nightmare on Elm Street, and what appears to be a maskless version of Predator coming to the game. However, there's a brief moment where the nameless Knight from the original Hollow Knight is shown sitting on a bench next to OG Fortnite character, Guff. The screen flashes to show the Shade version of The Knight, implying both variants will be available when the character is added to the game.
The Knight appears to be a sidekick, a still relatively new mechanic that has come in pretty handy for adding characters that their creators might not want holding a gun.
