Former PlayStation Boss Wants You To Play A Game Where You Remove People’s Hair

Former PlayStation executive Shuhei Yoshida is known for his championing of indie games. After helping create Crash Bandicoot, Gran Turismo, Spyro the Dragon, and Ape Escape, he became President of SIE Worldwide Studios. In 2019, he was "fired" from that position and moved into an initiative that helped nurture indie titles launching on PlayStation.

While likely a disappointment, it was still the ideal role for Yoshida, who over the years had professed his love for titles like Journey, The Plucky Squire, and the SteamWorld series.

Now, following this year's Tokyo Game Show (which I attended and will have coverage of this week), Yoshida was asked for his best games from the show, one of which involves the player removing body hair from prospective clients...

Japanese outlet 4Gamer sat down with Yoshida after this year's Tokyo Game Show was cut short a day early because of a typhoon. They asked the former exec for his favorite games of this year's show, and it's an interesting, indie-heavy mix. But while most games are what you might expect from a Yoshida list, one, Hair Removal Salon Simulator, sticks out like a sore thumb.
