Kingdom Hearts Collection 1-3 has managed to top the US Switch 2 charts ahead of launch, and it’s even beating out one of Nintendo’s biggest games.
For as long as the Switch has been a thing, Kingdom Hearts fans have been begging to see the series come to Nintendo’s latest platform. Those cries were answered in the worst way on the original Switch, with Square Enix offering a cloud version that barely worked and often made you queue to play a single-player game.
Earlier this year, Square righted that wrong by confirming that Kingdom Hearts was finally going to get the proper port treatment for Switch 2 with a new collection. All of the begging from fans for a Switch release clearly wasn’t just hot air, as the collection is currently topping the US charts and beating a major Nintendo game in the process.
As pointed out by Twitter user Stealth40k and backed up by Nintendo Everything, Kingdom Hearts Collection 1-3 is currently in first place on the Nintendo eShop charts in the US. That’s especially impressive considering it’s currently ahead of Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave, which is obviously a huge first-party Nintendo game....
