Despite being one of the most anticipated games of the year, and potentially of all time, Grand Theft Auto 6 has still faced plenty of criticism over Rockstar's decision not to release the game on both consoles and PC at the same time.
While we've been waiting months for news on when we can expect a native PC edition of GTA 6, a recent announcement confirms the game will still be playable on PC on day one. While the official workaround does avoid one of the biggest concerns preventing GTA 6 from releasing natively on PC, it does come with quite a big catch that not everyone can ignore.
As reported by Variety, Xbox CEO Asha Sharma announced in a shocking statement that "Xbox has managed to land a deal for the exclusive game streaming rights for Grand Theft Auto 6." While the report specifies "it's not clear how long the agreement will be in place," we do know for sure that PC players will be able to play GTA 6 at launch without owning a console through Xbox's PC Cloud Streaming.
