XBOX seems to have some pretty big plans for its future, and its latest announcement makes that quite clear. On October 8, the company officially revealed XP, a new division meant to bring its franchises beyond gaming through movies, television shows, merchandise, and even real-world experiences.
The announcement came from an X post made by XBOX CEO Asha Sharma, who confirmed that former Mojang president Kayleen Walters will lead the division. An accompanying XBOX Wire post made the ambition clear: XBOX wants to become “the number one entertainment company in the world.”
