Phantom Blade Zero Will Test Your Skills, But Its Trophies Will Be a Breeze

I recently had the chance to travel to China to not only eat tons and tons of Peking duck, but also get my hands on the final preview build of Phantom Blade Zero ahead of its October 29 release, and there's one thing that became pretty clear during my time with the game: S-GAME isn't exactly aiming small with its first console title.

The studio, which previously focused exclusively on mobile games, has some pretty ambitious plans for its upcoming action RPG. Director Soulframe – who, yes, is as cool as his name sounds – talked about the team's desire to introduce an entirely new genre within the action RPG space and create something that can stand on its own.

And while there are plenty of things about Phantom Blade Zero that caught my attention during my trip, I have to admit that one particular detail was especially interesting to me as a completionist player who will spend hours hunting down a Platinum trophy: you probably won't have to suffer through the game's hardest challenges to get it.
