Magic: The Gathering has officially revealed a new card that is essentially Negate in a different color, but with a unique twist. Wizards of the Coast has been releasing a lot of new sets and collaborations for its TCG this year, and the upcoming Star Trek set will be the seventh overall in 2026 and the fourth from Universes Beyond. The pace of releases for next year seems to be slightly better for Standard players, as there will be six Magic: The Gathering sets total instead of seven.
While not all fans are happy with the Star Trek set from a card art standpoint, with the most common complaint being that characters are mostly sitting in chairs with some sci-fi background, there are several good new cards in it. There is also a new type of card coming to Magic: The Gathering with Star Trek, as the set will include the first-ever human-signed cards as limited Headliners, possibly boasting incredible value due to signatures coming from actual actors who played the respective characters. Among the new cards, one is basically a reprint of Negate, but possibly even stronger.
A Magic: The Gathering rare from 2012 is now...
