Based on the series of novels of the same name by James S. A. Corey, The Expanse was a hit show that premiered from 2015 to 2022. However, after it was unceremoniously canceled after just three seasons by Syfy, it was later picked up by Amazon, even continuing for a further three seasons under new leadership, which just goes to show the amount of love it had behind it.
Set in a future where humanity has colonized the Solar System, it follows a group of ragtag heroes as they travel across the galaxy and find themselves at the center of a conspiracy that could unravel the peace of the entire system. However, with United Nations Security Council member Chrisjen Avasarala, ship's officer James Holden, and cynical detective Josephus Miller at the helm, it is their growing bonds that may just save them.
Now, four years on from the ending of the hit show, The Expanse is set to return in a thrilling new era that begins in 2027. The Expanse: Osiris Reborn is an upcoming action RPG from Owlcat Games and, as you can probably expect, it is set in the beloved sci-fi universe.
Set for launch on PlayStation...
