A recent update to the Hollow Knight: Silksong listing on Steam's backend had fans excited about a potentially imminent beta test, only to be let down eventually. The wait for Hollow Knight: Silksong has been excruciating for many, and with 2025 just a few months away, there is still no concrete release window for the highly anticipated Metroidvania.
Developer Team Cherry first revealed Hollow Knight: Silksong in 2019 after the sweltering success of its predecessor, 2017's Hollow Knight. Since then, however, the indie team has seemingly taken a vow of silence regarding the sequel's release plans. Team Cherry did provide a development update on Hollow Knight: Silksong last year, stating that the game was originally planned for launch in the first half of 2023, but will now take longer. The radio silence resumed after that, and it was recently noticed that over 2,024 days have passed since Hollow Knight: Silksong's first reveal, still with no release window in sight.
The wait for Hollow Knight: Silksong has now officially hit a milestone that very few likely saw coming.
Predictably, many fans have taken it upon themselves to deduce when Team Cherry may provide another update on Hollow Knight: Silksong's release....
