Baldur's Gate 3 Update Finally Adds Official Mod Support, Console Has To Wait

Baldur's Gate 3 Patch 7 is finally here, bringing official mod support and brand-new evil endings to PC.

As of today, there is an in-game mod manager and modding toolkit which can be downloaded on Steam, allowing you to more easily tweak your game. However, the mod manager is not live on console as "it's going to take a little longer to get this patch through all the necessary technical checks and requirements"; Larian predicts that it will be ready in October for those on PlayStation, Xbox, and Mac.

This means that cross-platform saving will no longer work until console receives Patch 7.

The mod toolkit is also not live on PC yet, but "will become available later today." In the meantime, there are a few new evil endings to dig into. In the blog post detailing Patch 7, Larian revealed that there are 13 new cinematics "that offer varying conclusions to your most evil playthroughs" — we know one of these involves Ascended Astarion, and one the Dark Urge's companions, but Larian didn't divulge any spoilers. We'll have to find out more for ourselves.
