GreedFall 2 and Steelrising developer Spiders has scored a win for itself by securing better pay and working conditions following a strike that took place earlier this week.
In a statement provided to Game Developer, studio management says it's negotiated raises and improved working policies with employees, although the statement does also contain some pointed remarks regarding allegations made by the union to which said employees belong.
Spiders bosses say that statements made by the SJTV union in an open letter to managers last week were "false and defamatory", so even though the managerial side of the studio has agreed to better conditions for employees, it sounds like they didn't do so without some pushback.
According to Game Developer, Spiders managers have agreed to raise the studio's minimum base salary by 11%, starting from this month (and retroactive to April 1st of this year).
Although that sounds like a pretty big jump, Game Developer does also say that the average Spiders employee will only see a salary increase of around 3% as a result of this move. Still, it's progress, right?
