The next patch for Final Fantasy XIV is about to be released, and there are plenty of reasons to be excited about it. In July of this year, the massively successful MMO from Square Enix launched the Dawntrail expansion that sent the protagonists on a trip to the in-game equivalent of America. Just two months later, FFXIV is preparing to release Patch 7.1, one of the largest updates to the game since Dawntrail came out.
More details about patch 7.1, including its official name, will be revealed in a Letter From the Producer Live on September 29 at 1:50 AM Eastern at the Tokyo Game Show, according to GameRant. The Letter, hosted by FFXIV producer Naoki Yoshida and Global Community Producer Toshio Murouchi, will be streamed on the game's YouTube channel with text in English and Japanese, but the presentation will be only in Japanese.
Although Patch 7.1 for Dawntrail doesn't have a release date yet, Square Enix has already teased a few incoming updates. The FFXIV update will bring better job balancing, speech bubbles, and an in-game strategy planner for raids.
