Over the years that the Dragon Age series has been going, you could argue that the Qunari have undergone extensive redesigns in almost every game. From Sven in Dragon Age: Origins, to the Arishok in Dragon Age 2, to Iron Bull in Dragon Age: Inquisiton, all of these characters look nothing like each other, and the Qunari in Dragon Age: The Veilguard is no exception.
However, the designs in Dragon Age: The Veilguard have come under fire for being too humanized, with some claiming they just look like humans with massive foreheads and horns. A few side by side photos have been making the rounds lately, featuring Dragon Age: The Veilguard's Qunari designs with the Arishok for the most unfair comparisons, but one BioWare developer has leaped to the defense of The Veilguard's designs.
Over the weekend, BioWare and Dragon Age cinematic designer Derek Wiles took to social media to try and debunk some of the criticism going around regarding the Qunari, specifically taking issue with a particular comparison photo (which you can see above).
