Project Rene has had a tumultuous introduction to the world. With the revelation that Project Rene wasn't The Sims 5 and the subsequent revelation that The Sims 5 wasn't being worked on at all, fans of Maxis' legendary life simulation series already weren't too keen on Project Rene, even before any gameplay was revealed.
We've since seen a few screenshots from a playtest build of Project Rene, and fans weren't inspired by what they saw. Project Rene has been drawing comparisons to The Sims Mobile in both aesthetics and monetisation. The character creator is one of the most important aspects of the life simulation genre, and now data miners have uncovered a first look at Project Rene's Create a Sim feature. It's only a debug, but is still illustrative of what options players can expect to have at their disposal when creating their Sims.
