The special Pokemon-themed Nintendo Direct is underway and its big announcement is a pair of new games called Pokemon Sword & Shield for Nintendo Switch. The games will coming to Switch in fall 2019.
The new game brings Generation 8 Pokemon to the world and the games are 3D cel-shaded for a completely new look from previous games. Players will journey to Galar, a region as-yet unseen in other Pokemon titles, and three of the Pokemon players will encounter are Grookey, Scorbunner and Sobble.
