Metaphor: ReFantazio may have just come out — as in, it came out just nearly two weeks ago — but its director is already hard at work on developing a new game. And before you ask, no, it's not Persona 6.
Final Fantasy has always been the JRPG king, but Atlus is preparing a challenger.
In an interview that has since been transcribed by GamesRadar, director Katsura Hashino revealed that his mind has already shifted from Metaphor to something new entirely. "Oh, I have already started," he said, owing to the fact that he doesn't "really think about what to do as an individual," however.
As for what the game could end up being, well, that's a bit more complicated. For one, it's not Persona, but whatever it ends up being, it'll have fans at the forefront, as well as his fellow game developers. "I look at Atlus as a whole and think about what is best for our team to create right now," he said. "Firstly, I want the users to be happy, and as a result, I hope the company will be happy as well."
